Cloakroom - lets get to work...

We needed to start somewhere and we thought the cloakroom was probably in the greatest need. The cloakroom was in its original 1970's state. The wash hand basin and toilet were canary yellow. The wallpaper had a cross stitch design. The yellow curtains hung lifelessly from the curtain track and the carpet lay stained and awaiting removal.

We removed the carpet first and revealed some square floor boards that are best replaced. Quickly we removed the curtains and then the 1970's bathroom fittings. We were shocked and amused to find this ashtray/ cigarette holder next to the toilet.

It was then time for the cross stitch wallpaper to go and the steam stripper assisted us with this task. Lastly we removed the ceramic tiles from the wall behind the toilet.
All that is left now is for some shopping, I think I would like a hanging toilet.

  1. Wow, that toilet really is something else - and the ashtray made me laugh! Shall look forward to seeing how you get on!
